Both organic and non-organic farmers are looking for new ways to control weeds. Researchers with OSC4 are investigating novel approaches to weed control including electricity, bioherbicides, cover crop mulch, and improving crop vigour.

OSC4 is powered by more than 40 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working alongside more seasoned researchers, many of whom have a passion for mentoring new scientists. In fact, the number of “highly qualified personnel” working on OSC4 activities is a performance measure used to assess the impact of the program.
